Association of Issuing Bodies

Central Messaging Hub

The Association of Issuing Bodies - the AIB - promotes the use of a standardised system, based on harmonised environment, structures and procedures, in order to ensure the reliable operation of international energy certificate systems. This standardised system is known as EECS - the European Energy Certificate System - and is set out in "The Principles and Rules of Operation" (the PRO) and its supporting documents.

The AIB supports a transport mechanism that allows certificates to be transferred betwen registries in a safe and secure manner. This mechanism uses digital signatures to give assurance on the identity of the sender, and encryption to prevent eavesdropping. All such messages are sent through the Central Messaging Hub. The provision of the Hub means that traders can be confident that messages are structured properly, while giving registry operators a single clean interface.

Registry operators who are registered on the AIB Hub should go to the log in page.
